Jennings Motor Group is holding its annual golfing event in a bid to raise money for The Emaan Foundation charity.

On Tuesday 3rd July, keen golfers will be teeing off for an afternoon of birdies, bogies and eagles, when they take part in the motor dealer group’s sixth consecutive charity golf day.

Taking place at Teesside Golf Club on Acklam Road in Stockton, 11 teams, consisting of members of staff from Jennings Motor Group, as well as the company’s business suppliers, will be spending an afternoon on the fairway, as well as enjoying a meal in the Clubhouse.  Later in the evening, there will also be a presentation with various prizes for the day’s winners, in addition to an auction and raffle taking place.

Nas Khan OBE, founder of The Emaan Foundation and managing director of Jennings Motor Group, said; “We’re delighted to be holding our sixth consecutive golfing event, and look forward to a day of fun and at the same time raising as much money as possible.”

Working in conjunction with international aid organisation, Human Appeal, the charity’s first fundraising appeal, following the devastating floods eight years ago, raised £120,000 which built an entire new village, consisting of 60 homes, complete with livestock and clean drinking water, in the village of Rahim Yar Khan.

The charity is now fundraising with a second appeal to raise money that will pay for the construction of a new health centre.

Nas added; “Work still needs to be done to further improve the lives of people living in the village, who currently have to travel hundreds of miles in order to receive basic medical treatment.

“On behalf of The Emaan Foundation, I would like to thank everyone who has and continues to contribute towards our latest fundraising appeal – we simply couldn’t do it without the on-going and generous support.”
